Highcross Leicester gets further beauty boost with Superdrug flagship arrival

The big-brand battle for beauty retail domination continues with Superdrug now opening its latest flagship at Highcross Leicester.

The new 8,800 sq ft store, located on the lower level of the mall, showcases Superdrug’s expansive range of beauty, health, and wellness products in its latest store format which features a dedicated premium fragrance section, alongside its popular in-store Beauty Studio offering threading and waxing services. The opening also creates 60 new jobs.

Clare Jennings, property director at Superdrug, said: “This spacious location reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in physical retail, enabling us to offer an even broader selection of products and services to shoppers.” 

It joins Highcross Leicester’s impressive-and-growing line-up of health and beauty brands. Alongside premium-end Jo Malone and Clarins and mass brand Lush, the offer has continued to grow in recent months with the arrival of Space NK’s city debut, taking a 3,000 sq ft unit on the lower level, while Rituals also recently opened at the scheme.

These openings “build on the centre’s strong leasing momentum throughout 2025, adding more trusted beauty names to its tenant mix and appealing to the centre’s widespread catchment and diverse audience”, with centre director Michelle Menezes adding: “Superdrug joining [our] retail line-up… strengthens our already dynamic beauty offer, which has seen phenomenal demand this year.

“This opening reflects the ongoing confidence that leading brands have in our destination, marking another important step in our vision to enhance the shopping experience and appeal to a widespread demographic.”

These arrivals follow retail giant H&M reopening a refitted 24,400 sq ft store in a fashion portfolio that includes Zara, Mango, Next, and Urban Outfitters, all anchored by a 230,000 sq ft John Lewis.
