“The past years have been intense and formative, and I look back on them with gratitude. Now is the right time for me to step back from Munich Fabric Start and turn my attention to new pursuits, both personally and entrepreneurially,” said Junker, who was also a shareholder in Munich Fabric Start, on his departure.

According to the Munich-based company, a handover has already been completed in collaboration with the seasoned internal team and its long-standing network of external partners. Going forward, Frank Junker’s responsibilities will be organised and shared within the existing team.

“We thank Frank Junker for his many years of service and his contribution to the development of the trade fair over the past two decades. We respect his decision and wish him every success with his forthcoming projects,” said Wolfgang Klinder, co-founder and shareholder of Munich Fabric Start, in the company’s statement.

For more than 20 years, Frank Junker supported and developed the trade fair with great dedication- something for which the management extends its special thanks. Through his involvement in strategic development and in the Bluezone and View formats, he made a significant contribution to firmly establishing these events in the German-speaking region and across Europe.

There is hardly time to pause: the next trade fair is already taking place next week, with View on December 2 and 3.
