Clarks returns to Tottenham Court Road with new retail concept

A big busy year for UK footwear brand Clarks has culminated in a physical return to London’s Tottenham Court Road, marking a “significant investment in the consumer experience” across one of capital’s busiest retail destinations.

So a new, larger, reimagined store “reflects [our] ongoing evolution and commitment to delivering best-in-class value, comfort and style”, it says of the just-opened store.

The two-storey space debuts the brand’s first-ever ‘Clarks Canvas’ retail concept – “a contemporary environment curated to showcase the brand at its best”.

Design-wise, the store features a stainless-steel fascia with an updated Clarks logo, previously appearing across the brand’s athletic range.

Its fresh interior comes with dedicated shopping areas for women’s, men’s, kids’, and accessories, the store also introduces an expanded range of non-footwear accessories including handbags, purses, umbrellas and socks, with further lifestyle additions – such as water bottles, T-shirts and jumpers – arriving in the New Year as Clarks “continues to broaden its offer”.

Meanwhile, the store’s layout has also been designed to host activations and community-focused events.

Clarks said the opening comes during a period of “continued innovation” across athleisure, performance and comfort footwear. Earlier this year the brand launched Clarks Pace, its first-ever performance walking shoe, which uses own-designed Infinity Energy Capsules and Solevana performance features.

These new technologies “underscore Clarks’ investment in modern design and science-backed comfort”, with Joe Ulloa, president UK, ROI & EMEA, adding that “a vibrant new store concept… reflects the next chapter of the Clarks brand. We’re offering more variety than ever before, supported by fantastic quality and great value.”
