Cybex opens first flagship store in New York

German children’s products specialist Cybex has opened its first flagship store in New York, at 127 Greene Street in SoHo’s historic Cast-Iron District. The approximately 215-square-metre space, with a sleek, modern aesthetic, embodies the brand’s philosophy of marrying luxurious functionality with contemporary design.

On entering, visitors are greeted by an ambience that pays homage to New York’s architectural and cultural heritage. Structural steel columns add a contemporary touch, evoking the historic cast-iron facades typical of the neighbourhood; the interplay of reflections between glass and steel echoes the energy of the surrounding streets. A refined monochrome palette of warm beige tones forms the backdrop to the space, enriched with elegant golden accents that add a touch of sophistication.

The store, which showcases the full range of Cybex products — pushchairs, car seats, baby carriers, home solutions and accessories — also includes a VIP area dedicated to one-to-one appointments. In addition, the boutique celebrates Cybex’s collaborations with designer Jeremy Scott, alongside the brand’s signature fashion collections.

The boutique opened with a cocktail party attended by numerous celebrities, led by new mother Cardi B, making her first public appearance since the birth of her fourth child. Other personalities who took part in the festivities included Chanel Iman, Georgia Fowler, Tiffany Reid, Julia Lang, Amrit Tietz, Darren Graham and Zanna Roberts Rassi.
