Cosnova Beauty and Reliance Retail partner to launch Essence in India

Reliance Retail Limited and Cosnova Beauty have entered into a distribution partnership to launch Germany based, cruelty-free cosmetics brand Essence in the Indian market.

The launch bolsters Reliance Retail’s affordable, global beauty offering and will see Essence goods retail through the business’ omni-channel network, announced the business in a press release. Essence’s range of colour cosmetic products will be available across India online, in Reliance’s beauty stores, and through its partner retail formats.
 
As official distributor, Reliance will be responsible for expanding the brand’s reach across India. Essence is Europe’s top cosmetics brand in terms of units sold, according to the business, and manufactures over 80% of its products in Europe. The brand has a youthful aesthetic, and its products contain 100% vegan ingredients, use eco-friendly packaging, and have microplastic particles free formulas.

“With its arrival in India, Essence aims to inspire a new wave of creative self-expression by beauty experimentation, encouraging consumers to mix, match, and play with products that make makeup a joyful part of everyday life for everyone,” announced Reliance Retail. “This launch reflects Reliance Retail’s commitment to offering the best global beauty experiences to Indian consumers, bringing together fun, inclusivity, and sustainability under one brand.”
