Seventeen months on from gaining creditor, shareholder and court approval to avoid administration, Superdry’s turnaround plan continues with the opening of its new Superdry & Co store format at Bon Accord, Aberdeen.

Marking Superdry’s return to Scotland’s third-largest city and the second opening for the new format (Nottingham was first in September) it reflects a “refreshed, design-led concept focused on product storytelling and community relevance”.

The new near-6,000 sq ft store offer includes its full Men’s and Women’s new season ranges alongside a dedicated Vintage area that blends new-season products with heritage-inspired pieces.

Positioned in a prime location within the Bon Accord shopping centre, the store “deepens Superdry’s relationship with the historic university city and reinforces the brand’s commitment to best-in-class physical retail across key UK destinations”.

Founder and CEO Julian Dunkerton added: “Aberdeen has always been an important location for us. [For] our new Superdry & Co format, we’re creating a space that puts craftsmanship front and centre – from premium outerwear and preppy styles to our sustainable Vintage edit.”

The latest opening follows Superdry’s late-October FY25 results announcement, where the business reported a swing back into adjusted pre-tax profit of £33.8 million (from a £48.3 million loss in the prior year), “underlining continued momentum and the latest move in the brand’s major turnaround plan”.
