The acquisition will allow Centric to leverage Vingino’s operational and design infrastructure, including its retail relationships across Europe, Central American and South America, and merchandising capabilities to help expand its kids international business.

“Vingino’s design and sourcing strength coupled with their EU and Central and South American networks and relationships fit perfectly into our global growth strategy,” said Jason Rabin, chief executive officer, Centric Brands.

“We look forward to working closely with the Vingino team as an integral partner to strengthen and scale our international Kids platform.”

Founded in 2001, Vingino is based in the Netherlands and recognized as a denim-focused multi-category global brand, rooted in quality craftsmanship and enduring style.

“We are proud to join the Centric Brands group and are looking forward to a new chapter in our business,” added Jan van den Berg, chief executive officer, Vingino. “With Centric’s scale, expertise, and shared commitment to creativity and quality, we are excited to grow the Vingino brand.”

Earlier this year, Centric Brands appointed Rob Smith as president of its kids division. The company’s portfolio includes licenses for more than 100 iconic brands, including Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Nautica, and Under Armour in its kid’s category.
