Dolce & Gabbana is gearing up to launch a host of festive activations. The fashion house- which spans haute couture, accessories, fragrances, and cosmetics, founded in 1985 in Legnano by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, is celebrating the festive season by bringing its unmistakable style to selected cities with its special Holiday Market project. The enchanted world, rich in colour and tradition, celebrates Italian craftsmanship and creativity while guiding visitors in their search for the perfect gift.

Melbourne (at Chadstone Shopping Centre), Singapore (Takashimaya Shopping Centre), São Paulo (JK Iguatemi), Mexico City (El Palacio de Hierro Polanco), Daejeon (Galleria), and Goiânia (Flamboyant Shopping Center) have been chosen as the destinations for the Dolce & Gabbana activations.
For the occasion, these spaces will be dressed in the vibrant motifs of the Carretto Siciliano, showcased in exclusive display areas. The traditional local cart, used in Sicily from the 19th century until the mid-20th century- when it became obsolete as work in the countryside grew increasingly motorised- was an animal-drawn vehicle for transporting goods. The two Italian designers have made it one of the most distinctive motifs in the brand’s visual universe.

The friezes and decorations of Sicilian tradition will frame a selection of products stemming from partnerships with leading Made in Italy names, designed to spotlight the Dolce & Gabbana lifestyle. They include festive sweets from Fiasconaro, Sicilian wines from Donnafugata, artisanal pasta from Pastificio Di Martino, the iconic Bialetti Moka coffee maker, and Smeg appliances.
Completing the activations, majestic Christmas trees will welcome guests in Sydney, at the foot of the MLC Centre steps, and in Singapore, at the Takashimaya Shopping Centre. The Beijing SKP Café will also be transformed, adopting a new look inspired by the Carretto Siciliano theme.

In New York, meanwhile, a special installation has been in place since November inside the Dolce & Gabbana boutique on Fifth Avenue. Embellished with sparkling Christmas trees and meticulously curated decorations, the boutique has been transformed into an explosion of the Carretto Siciliano’s vivid colours, and presents a curated selection of Dolce & Gabbana Casa items and the brand’s best-loved books, alongside its Beauty collections. In-store tastings of Fiasconaro sweets will delight visitors with the flavours of Sicily, including citrus, saffron, pistachio, and hazelnut.
