British activewear/lifestyle brand Sweaty Betty has just opened a new store in Liverpool Street station, Britain’s busiest rail hub which attracts over 118 million people yearly.

Situated next door to fashion/gifting retailer Oliver Bonas, the 897 sq ft store becomes the brands’ first in a Network Rail station and is its 20th London location, “which highlights the brand’s strong presence in the capital”.
The Liverpool Street store also becomes the first to stock a limited-edition product, available exclusively on launch as the brand’s “premium activewear… continues to empower women through fitness and lifestyle clothing”.
Andrea Gray, VP Global Stores, Wholesale & 3P at Sweaty Betty, said: “This location presents a fantastic opportunity to further our mission of empowering women through fitness and beyond. We look forward to serving our customers as they navigate their daily commutes, embark on weekend adventures, or join nearby classes.”
Hamish Kiernan, commercial director, property at Network Rail, comments: “Sweaty Betty’s arrival at London Liverpool Street… demonstrates our iconic station’s continued growth and evolution.”
In its most recent accounts for 2024, Sweaty Betty returned to profit for the first time in several years. The London-based brand reported turnover down to £140.4 million from £144.2 million last year. Gross profit rose to £74.5 million from £71.3 million and EBITDA was up to £7.48 million from a loss of £4.52 million a year earlier. The company swung to an operating profit, making £3.57 million this time after a loss of £11 million in the prior year.
