Borsalino debuts White Iris scent with select global distributors

Italian label Borsalino, arguably the most famous hatter on the planet, has unveiled its latest scent, White Iris. The fragrance is the second scent statement from the house’s B&W Collection, which debuted with a men’s cologne named Black Iris in February, 2025.

 
Designed as a counterpoint, White Iris’s goal is to be Black Iris’ luminous counterpart, inspired by the golden era of black-and-white film and the house’s long-standing relationship with the silver screen. Borsalino hats have made appearances in such classic films as Bonnie and Clyde, The Conformist, Chinatown, The Godfather and, of course, the French cult movie Borsalino starring Alain Delon and Jean-Paul Belmondo.
 
“More than a dialogue, the B&W Collection was conceived as a fragrance duet, composed to complement each other and be worn in tandem on a first date,” said Borsalino in a release.

Following this first romantic duo, the love story will unfold with new fragrance chapters in 2026 and 2027 that capture defining moments of Italian romance through the language of scent.
 
Borsalino’s B&W Collection is made under license with Perfume Street, a Paris-based fragrance company founded by Arthur Cukier that specialises in creating and developing olfactory universes for heritage brands.
 
White Iris’ scent pyramid features top notes of Bergamot, Lemon Sfuma, and Iris Italy. Heart notes of Jasmine Morning, India Absolute, Orange Blossom, and Amaretto liqueur complement base notes of Praline, Cedarwood Virginia USA Essence, and Patchouli Prisma Indonesia Essence.
 
Echoing the design of its masculine counterpart, the bottle of White Iris pays tribute to the maison’s iconic hat-making heritage. Its cap is shaped like a refined hat, and its ribbon-inspired label shines in luminous white.
 
In Italy, White Iris will be distributed exclusively through two prestigious perfume destinations: Lively and Estasy, a duet of carefully selected retail partners. Beyond Italy, White Iris will be available at select luxury retailers worldwide, as well as on Borsalino and Perfume Street’s websites.
 
The Borsalino White Iris Eau de Parfum Spray fragrance is available in 10 ml at a retail price of €24.95, in 50 ml at €95, and in 100 ml at €120.
