The organisers were delighted with two days brimming with energy, exchange and innovation. An excellent atmosphere, high-calibre attendees and positive feedback from all sides confirm that the trade fair continues to capture the zeitgeist.

This year’s focus topic “Textile to Textile – the Role of Recyclers” shaped the fair both thematically and visually: the topic was showcased in the Trend Forum and ran as a common thread through many conversations, stands and discussions – clear proof, according to the organisers, that circularity and recycling are increasingly driving the industry.

The right timing, a good mix of exhibitors and an in-depth educational programme made the autumn edition “a complete success”, according to CEO Marco Weichert.

“We see ourselves as hosts and want to offer our exhibitors, sponsors and visitors two days full of inspiration, education, new ideas, fabric innovations and a valuable, relaxed working atmosphere. I think we achieved this with flying colours over the last two days. Receiving this feedback proves that we are on the right track and encourages us to continue working consistently on our concept and quality,” said Weichert.

A newly designed Innovation Area awaited visitors in Hall A1 – one of the central meeting points of the trade fair. The Innovation Hub by FFE (Future Fabrics Expo) was developed in close collaboration with the London-based Future Fabrics Expo.

Alongside “deep dives” into new EU regulations, the area showcased initial approaches to how the textiles of the future might be developed. Amanda Johnston, chief design officer, Future Fabrics Expo.

“Our aim is to encourage the industry to explore the variety of sustainable material alternatives in the performance sector – and to replace traditional fibres such as virgin polyester or conventional cotton, which still account for the majority of global fibre production,” said Johnston.

The new Creative Area, curated in close collaboration with designer and colour expert Nora Kühner, was also very popular.

In addition to the new formats, the Wool Area, including the Wool Forum, also attracted a great deal of interest from visitors.

The spring dates for next year have already been set: the next Performance Days are scheduled for March 18-19, 2026, at Messe München.
